Large Globe – A Great Way to Have Overgrown Fun


When you give a child a globe you are able to open their eyes to a new world full of endless possibilities. By expanding the size to a large globe you are now able to give them a larger expansion into their imaginations, letting them think, wonder and uncover the mysteries of the world. A large globe gives a child endless hours of pleasure and the ability to open their mind to new things that otherwise they might not have found.

Not only is a large globe a wonderful learning tool, it can also give a youngster the ability to expand their thoughts as they recreate the founding fathers of the land upon the globe. It is good to put children ahead of other classmates when it comes to the ability of reading and navigating a world map, atlas and globe.

In this day and age when there is so much news going on in other countries and lands, when your child asks where that place is, you can show them instead of trying to just explain. When a child is able to associate a visual object with something they are learning it just may be easier for them to remember. No to mention the sheer excitement your child will have when they ask you where a place is and you just have to tell them to go and look on the globe and tell me where it is. All children love to think they know more than the adults in their lives, so let them re-teach you where the different locations on the globe are. This can also be a wonderful bonding time for child and adult.

Many of us also had a globe as a child, fondly remembering the fun and hours spent in front of the globe pretending you were the first pioneer or acting as if you yourself where along for the ride with Christopher Columbus as you traced the path he took. When you first noticed the globe you might have shied away from it because it looked too complicated, yet once you opened up to it you had almost as much fun learning about the globe as you did playing with Lincoln Logs or Barbie dolls. You eventually learned to a new found respect for this large ball you could not throw. Soon thereafter, the appreciation grew more and more, especially as an adult would sit with you and teach you the wonders of the world.  Now that you have a grin from ear to ear as you are remembering your childhood globe, don’t you agree every child should have the same feeling as you did?
